A space that matters

Celebrating its 10th year anniversary, the studio has become the breeding ground for a new generation of artists.

Studio 925, a school and shared creative space for bench jewelers and metalsmiths, recently had its first exhibition, entitled Mano Mano, at Aphro, The Alley, Karrivin Plaza, Makati City.

Celebrating its 10th year anniversary, the studio has become the breeding ground for a new generation of artists.

“Mano Mano” is dedicated to Redenta “Eden” Villegas Arias, a stunning showcase of the amazing beauty of handmade metal work.

The outstanding talents whose works are on exhibit are Janina Villegas Arias, Kris Carlos, Mai Evangelista, Paolo Felices, Kenji Io, Koichi Io, Krizia Jimenez, Marti Juan, Vera Juan,, Tiffany King, Marie Kinomes, Melody Lim, Tzu Lin, Marco Magallona, Lilianna Manahan, Mariko Sumioka and Wataru Yamazaki.

Masterpieces on exhibition made by both students and instructors show the full spectrum of skills that the studio offers and learning process on all levels and cultivation of artistic vision. Each artist showcases in individual areas creations that are stunning, captivating and awe-inspiring. They echo  a voice, a point of view and space that matters.

Studio925 is a sacred space and platform for preservation and sustainability of age-old techniques, traditions and craft wherein they are given presence and relevance in modern times.
