Puregold’s OPM Con 2025 transformed the Philippine Arena into a historic celebration of Filipino music on 5 July, delivering not only performances from the country’s biggest P-Pop artists, but also surprise appearances by OPM legends that thrilled thousands in attendance.

The concert featured chart-topping acts such as BINI, Flow G, G22, KAIA, SB19, Skusta Clee, and SunKissed Lola. But what took the show from simply sensational to timeless were the unexpected guest performances that left fans in awe.

Still riding high from the event’s success, Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Senior Marketing Manager of Puregold, said, “Puregold’s common language across its 500 stores nationwide is not just groceries but also music. Hence, we gathered our loyal shoppers and gave them a world-class concert experience featuring our own brand endorsers.”

Piedad added, “The night was about celebrating who we are as Filipinos—our stories, our music, and our shared pride. Seeing fans come together is one panalo moment we are very proud of.”

Surprise after surprise

The first surprise came during BINI’s set when James Reid joined the group on stage for a mashup of “Secrets” and his R&B hit “Di Bale.” The crowd erupted as the performance signaled a night of unpredictability and powerhouse collaborations.

The surprises kept coming. Mid-performance, Stell (SB19), Charlotte (KAIA), and Alfea (G22) emerged to perform a synchronized dance with BINI to “Shagidi”—uniting members of some of the country’s top girl and boy groups in one jaw-dropping moment.

Later in the show, fans were treated to a full-circle collaboration when 2000s rock band Mayonnaise joined KAIA for a live version of “Jopay.” The moment was especially meaningful for KAIA’s Angela, who had gone viral for covering the song on TikTok in 2022.

Yeng Constantino then took the stage to perform her hit song “Salamat” alongside girl group G22. A backstage video posted by Constantino showed the artists harmonizing together, quickly gaining traction online.

“We need a studio ver pls,” begged Twitter user @rayaaau_, while @bro_bonk shared, “ibang klase ang kanilang performance with Yeng Constantino, napapakanta ang audience.”

For the show’s finale, SB19 performed “Liwanag sa Dilim” before being joined by OPM icon Rico Blanco. Then came a surprise twist—Blanco joined SB19, G22, KAIA, and BINI’s Sheena for a high-energy rendition of “Dungka.” The performance marked a striking convergence of P-Pop powerhouses and OPM royalty in one climactic moment.

Puregold’s OPM Con 2025 was more than just a music event—it was a cultural milestone.
