Samsung Electronics has officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold7, the thinnest and lightest foldable in its flagship Z Fold lineup, marrying powerful AI capabilities with sleek engineering and a redesigned form factor aimed at maximizing productivity and immersive experiences.

“Galaxy Z Fold7 combines Galaxy AI with powerful hardware to deliver our most advanced smartphone experience yet,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience Division. “It gives people the ultra experience they want — powerful, immersive, intelligent, and portable all in one.”

Weighing just 215 grams, the Fold7 is lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra and folds down to 8.9 mm thickness. When unfolded, the device stretches to just 4.2 mm, revealing an expansive 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x main display — 11 percent larger than its predecessor. A 6.5-inch cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio offers ease of use in folded mode.

Designed for multitaskers, the Z Fold7 boasts Samsung’s new One UI 8, integrating intelligent, multimodal agents tailored for the foldable form factor. AI features such as real-time translation and image editing are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which delivers significant boosts across CPU, GPU and NPU.

Camera upgrades include a 200MP wide-angle shooter — a first for the Z Fold series — offering sharper, brighter, and more detailed photos. AI-enhanced imaging ensures vibrant results even in low-light conditions.

Durability was also a focus, with a new Armor FlexHinge, tougher Ultra-Thin Glass, and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the cover screen. Samsung also incorporated Titanium plate reinforcement and stronger Armor Aluminum in the frame.
