Sightings of Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala in the past have become increasingly intriguing, forming a seemingly never-ending cycle.
And as always, it was bereft of resibo (receipt), which made fans groping in the dark as to the veracity of the rumors.
But it took a new turn recently as the rumored couple left, wittingly or unwittingly, a resibo (receipt).
Bernardo and Alcala were photographed inside an airport while lining up at the counter. They were clad in an all-black twinning outfit with matching face masks.
As reported on all social media platforms, the two were reportedly bound for Australia.
On Reddit, one netizen explained how Bernardo came to know Alcala.
“Pinsan ni Mark si Justine Benitez na stylist ni Kathryn (Justine Benitez who is Kathryn’s stylist is a cousin of Mark),” said one lurkersagilid.
“Pinsan ni Mark ‘yung kasunod nya ni girl, si Justine Benitez at yung jowa ni Justine na si Dana,” lurkersagilid explained in the photo, which captured Bernardo. (Mark’s cousin was behind Kathryn, Justine Benitez, and the lover of Justine that is Dana).
What a journey it has been for Kim Chiu
It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu got her fans worried when she shared a creepy flight experience on her Instagram story recently.
“Maybe reading too much news lately got me nervous today. So much so that I caught myself looking for seat 11-A because, according to the Internet, it’s the ‘safest seat.’ Except... our plane’s seat started at 21. Hala!” she initially wrote.
Chiu made a short recap of her trip, starting that her flight was at 4:30 a.m. and the plane took off at 5 a.m.
“But just minutes after takeoff, the pilot announced we had to return to Manila due to a technical issue. Before that, the crew had been going in and out of the cockpit, which already had me low-key panicking. I tried to calm myself by sleeping it off, but when I woke up and we were still on the ground... my thoughts went wild,” she recalled.
“As we turned back mid-air, all it could do was pray. But by God’s grace, we landed safely back in Manila,” she added.
While it was a “frightening experience,” Chiu was “grateful we made it back.”
“Grateful to walk off that plane and breathe a little easier. Safety should never feel uncertain, but today reminded me just how precious and fragile life is,” she wrote.
Later, Chiu informed her fans that she safely landed in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
‘Sparks Camp’ season 3 premieres 16 July
The country’s first queer dating reality show, Sparks Camp, is taking love to new heights for its third season with all-new facets — a breathtaking mountain location, a “kilig”—filled theme song, and a fresh batch of lovestruck campers that will captivate viewers beginning 16 July where it will now stream in its new home on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel.
Directed by Theodore Boborol, the show will feature three times more romance set against the backdrop of scenic mountains, accompanied by its new theme song “Nahuhulog” by former The Voice Teens PH season 1 finalist Chie.
LGBTQIA+ advocate, “Mother Sparker” Mela Habijan, returns as host to help 10 charming campers find their mutual spark as they engage in various fun activities that will involve physical and intimate challenges, heart-to-heart talks, and fun dating games.
“Ako, as a director, ang purpose ko ngayon is really to entertain people, to make people fall in love with the love stories of these campers,” Boborol said during the show’s mediacon.
“We went back to the basics that this is a dating show. As members, you have to ask about their preferences. Ang purpose ko dito is to bring kilig and entertain them for them to realize I’m no longer homophobic. We want to provide the ultimate kilig love story,” he added.
This new batch of campers from various backgrounds — advertising executive Joer Reyes, content creator Edward Maalihan, brand strategist Kim Bejerano, performing artist Harold Espiritu, pilot Andrew Rabin, podcaster Julian Agustin, flight attendant Khali Empleo, graduate student Aaron Aberasturi, professional wrestler Julio Dragon Silvestre, and marketer Ants Pedregosa.
For the first time, Sparks Camp will also offer a special director’s cut with extended versions of episodes available worldwide exclusively for Super Kapamilya members on ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube and via iWant subscription.
