All praises for EXO’s Chen

Korean Management Federation Director Myunggil Lee, High Five Entertainment chairman Tommy Pereira, Random Minds Inc. president Allan Villegas, and Kelebrity Worldwide Inc. CEO David Shin. Kim Jong Dae, also known as Chen, is regarded as one of the most versatile vocalists in the Korean entertainment industry.

A member of the bestselling K-pop group EXO, Chen is renowned for his vocal prowess and stage presence. There’s no denying that he still is the best in terms of singing, 13 years into his debut as a Korean idol.

His mini-album April, And A Flower topped domestic and international charts. Chen also penned majority of the songs from his recent album Door, showcasing his growth as a songwriter.

In 2020, Chen won Best Male Vocalist Daesang at the 2020 Korean First Brand Awards.

He is the voice behind several hit K-drama OSTs including “Everytime (I See You)” from Descendants of the Sun, “Cherry Blossom Love Song” from 100 Days My Prince, “Best Luck” from It’s Okay, That’s Love, “Your Moonlight” from Do You Like Brahms? and “Make It Count” from Touch Your Heart.

“Everytime (I See You),” which he sang with Punch, was a hit and charted number one on the Gaon Digital Chart.

“I believe he is one of the most loved singers here in the Philippines,” Lee Myunggil, director of the Korean Management Federation, said in a press conference with the local media.

Lee reiterated that by adding him on the lineup for KOSTCON 2025 — Korean OST Concertwas feat itself.

“His voice is emotionally-enriched. We really tried our best to have him included in our lineup and we are so happy that he said yes. We also believe that we can touch or attract a lot of EXO-Ls here in Manila because of his popularity,” he said.

KOSTCON 2025 — Korean OST Concert, in collaboration with Hi-Five Entertainment Sdn. Bhd. Kelebrity Worldwide and Random Minds, is being dubbed the “most dramatic” show as it brings to life some of the iconic and renowned K-drama soundtracks to life.

“The emotions and storytelling of the K-dramas you enjoyed; we’re going to bring that onstage. For fans, you don’t want to miss this show because this is going to be fantastic and overwhelming,” David Shin, Kelebrity Worldwide Inc. chief executive officer said.

With Chen are some of the popular K-drama singers: Lyn, Kim Bum Soo, K.Will, Soyou, Heize and Lee Mujin.

“I really don’t think the language barrier is going to be an issue because K-drama has significantly overcome all those. When it comes to the Asian culture, we have so many things in common and I think that is one of the reasons why K-drama has gain popularity. It has expanded to Europe and America. That’s why you will be able to understand and feel what we want to deliver,” Shin added.
