A Super Lotto 6/49 bettor turned decades of hope into a life-changing reality by winning the P97.8-million jackpot during the 26 June 2025 draw.

The lone winner, who bought the lucky ticket at a lotto outlet in Barangay Krus na Ligas, Quezon City, claimed the P97,897,380.40 prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) main office in Mandaluyong City just a day later.

The winning combination — 25-08-05-27-18-16 — wasn’t a random pick. According to the winner, the numbers were drawn from family members’ birthdays, a method he’s been consistently using over his five years of lotto participation.

“My relative once won the jackpot years ago,” the winner shared. “That’s what made me believe even more in the game.”

He also said he plays three times a week, with his previous highest prize being a four-number match. This time, luck finally aligned in his favor.

“If you have extra money to spare, try playing the lotto,” he said. “Just like me, I didn’t know when I’d win, but I believed in luck.”

The PCSO reminds the public that jackpot prizes can only be claimed at its main office in Mandaluyong City. Winners must bring the original signed winning ticket and two valid government-issued IDs for verification.

Prizes above P10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax under the TRAIN Law. Winners also have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes. Unclaimed jackpots go to the PCSO Charity Fund, which supports nationwide medical and welfare assistance.

The Super Lotto 6/49 draw is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:00 PM, broadcast live on IBC-13, D8TV, and the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
