Kathryn’s absence seen as snub of Alden

‘At the venue, it wasn’t that she sneered at him. She simply did not show up. Only Richards showed up. In turn, he did not bother to mention Bernardo at all when he accepted his award.’

A movie project is most likely what can prompt, or inspire, actors Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards to behave affectionately again to each other in public — or even in private but with social media documentation.

Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.

She effectively snubbed him at the recent Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation Awards held at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City. Some fans told the Troika columnists of website PEP.ph that in the early evening of the same night, Bernardo was just at SM Mall of Asia for an event for a product she endorses.

At the Guillermo awards, they were to honored for their movie last year, “Hello, Love, Again,” which holds the record of being the country’s highest grossing film from worldwide box office revenues.

Bernardo was supposed to be honored as Phenomenal Box-Office Queen of Philippine Cinema. Richards was named Phenomenal Box-Office King of Philippine Cinema.

At the venue, it wasn’t that she sneered at him. She simply did not show up.

Only Richards showed up. In turn, he did not bother to mention Bernardo at all when he accepted his award. He prattled about the making of “Hello, Love, Again” but never mentioned even once his leading lady.

The PEP Troika rhetorically asked: “Mero’n ba silang hidwaan?” (Is there a feud between them?)

We, on the other hand, can also rhetorically ask: “How can Alden Richards be so ungentlemanly and un-magnanimous to Kathryn?”

Rhetorical questions need not be answered, of course.

Meanwhile, rumored sweethearts Bea Alonzo and business tycoon Vincent Co have finally just done the opposite.

BEA Alonzo and Vincent Co were captured together in a photo shared on Facebook by NET25 executive Caesar Vallejos.

A photo of Alonzo and Co holding hands in what seemed to be the backstage of the Puregold OPM Con at the Philippine Arena on Saturday, 5 July, was posted by Net25 president Caesar Vallejos on Instagram. The snap showed the rumored lovers posing with Vallejos in a group photo.

“This power couple is probably the newest staunchest supporters of the OPM industry in the Philippines: Puregold President Vincent Co and Bea Alonzo,” the post read.

The sweet couple was also spotted backstage snapping photos with P-pop groups SB19 and G22, as well as singer-songwriter Rico Blanco. The snap shots were, reshared by fan accounts on social media.

The couple’s appearance at the OPM Con 2025 was awaited by showbiz reporters and content creators invited to the event. However, it was unknown which part of the show they headed to their seats.

They were nonetheless spotted by one @rhneditss moving to the venue’s suite section during the concert, as posted on their X page.

Meanwhile, if there’s someone who need to show up with an honest-to-goodness boyfriend, or at least an ardent suitor, it’s occasional actress but almost fulltime vlogger Ivana Alawi.

IVANA Alawi

Doing so can effectively rule out all practically documented social media allegations that she has been playing mistress to legitimately married men, including those she had affairs with way before she became wildly famous as an unquestionably sexy vlogger, such as allegedly actor-turned-politician Dan Fernandez.

Alawi’s charity acts in the past few years are impressive, if not outright remarkable, even if they are starkly, if not even cringe-worthy, document by her self in her vlogs. Her most recent philanthropic act is giving actress Katrina Halili’s daughter a quite expensive cellphone. The daughter is in the Autism Spectrum. Alawi even went shopping with the young girl for toys, accompanied by her mom.

For all her stunning looks and wealth, Alawi owes it to herself a decent suitor if not a boyfriend who may or may not be as moneyed as she is.
