MG Philippines just pulled the covers off the all-new MG ZS, introducing a bigger, smarter, and more powerful version of its best-selling SUV. The launch happened at Shangri-La Makati, where the brand revealed the latest updates to the model, now available in four distinct variants.
This time around, the ZS is going hybrid. The top-tier Hybrid+ version pairs a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 1.83kWh battery and a 100kW electric motor, combining for 197hp. MG says this setup is built for those who want smooth, responsive performance without giving up efficiency. It also comes with MG PILOT, a suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist, among others.
For drivers who want a bit more thrill behind the wheel, the ZS Sport variant comes with a turbocharged version of the same 1.5-liter engine. It produces 170hp and 275Nm of torque, enough to give it a punchy feel. It’s matched with a high-performance CVT tuned to mimic a traditional multi-speed automatic.
On the more practical end, MG offers the ZS Luxury and ZS Comfort trims. Both are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine paired with a CVT, aimed at buyers who want a solid daily vehicle without breaking the bank. The Luxury variant gets more creature comforts like leather seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, 10.25-inch touchscreen, and a reverse camera, while the Comfort keeps things simple but still generous with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control and 16-inch alloys.
Across the board, the ZS has grown. It’s now longer and wider than the previous model, with more cabin space to match, especially in the back, where rear passengers get better headroom and legroom. Blind spots have also been reduced, improving visibility for drivers.
Design-wise, the SUV carries a more aggressive stance with MG’s new signature LED headlights, large front grille, and sculpted body lines. Even the base model looks modern and well-equipped.
If you’re eyeing the all-new MG ZS, you’ve got four variants to choose from — and each one comes with a tempting introductory price until 31 August 2025.
At the top of the line is the ZS Hybrid+, priced at P1,328,888, but for early birds, it goes for a lower P1,248,888. This is the most advanced ZS yet, packing hybrid power and the full suite of MG’s driver-assist tech.
Next is the ZS Sport, built for those who want turbocharged fun. It starts at P1,198,888, but MG’s launch offer brings it down to P1,148,888.
If comfort and practicality are your priorities, the ZS Luxury fits the bill at P1,088,888 — or P1,048,888 while the promo lasts. It brings solid features and an easy everyday drive.
Finally, the ZS Comfort is the most affordable in the bunch, priced at P948,888, and even lower at P908,888 during the introductory period. It’s a smart entry point for anyone ready to step into SUV life.
Each variant caters to a different kind of driver, but all deliver on style, space, and value. These special prices will last until 31 August 2025.
