The San Juan City government has received an “unmodified opinion” from the Commission on Audit (COA) for calendar year 2024, Mayor Francis Zamora announced on Friday.
This means that state auditors found the city government’s financial statements to be fairly and accurately presented in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards.
“This COA opinion underscores our steadfast commitment to good governance, transparency, and public accountability,” Zamora said.
“The city government thanks all our employees and officials who are partners in promoting honest and effective service for every San Juaneño,” he added.
The recognition follows another recent milestone, as San Juan was cited by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for its full compliance with the national anti-drug campaign.
San Juan achieved 100 percent drug-cleared status in all its barangays as early as 2023, meeting the stringent criteria for citywide recognition. The city also leads Metro Manila with the lowest crime volume in the region.
