President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Senior Undersecretary Analisa “Ana” Puod amid reported internal issues with the agency’s leadership.

The resignation was confirmed by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro in a press briefing on Friday.

“We have an update. Miss Ana Puod’s resignation has been accepted,” she told reporters.

Castro had initially announced Puod’s decision to step down on 17 June.

Puod cited an “untenable condition” under the current leadership of the PCO as the reason for her departure. She did not elaborate.

Following her resignation, Puod expressed her gratitude to the President for the trust and opportunity to serve in his administration.
