President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Senior Undersecretary Analisa "Ana" Puod, amid reported internal issues within the agency’s leadership.
The resignation was confirmed by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro during a press briefing on Friday.
“Mayroon po tayong update: Tinanggap na po ang resignation ni Miss Ana Puod (We have an update: Miss Ana Puod’s resignation has been accepted),” Castro told reporters.
Castro had initially announced Puod’s decision to step down on 17 June.
Puod cited an “untenable condition” under the current leadership of the PCO as the reason for her departure. She did not elaborate on the nature of the issues.
Despite her resignation, Puod expressed gratitude to Marcos for the trust and opportunity to serve in his administration.
