Lea Salonga to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Salonga will soon join the likes of comedian Rob Schneider, Bruno Mars and Apl.de.Ap, the other Filipinos who have received the stars.

Broadway star Lea Salonga will officially receive her Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

“Just now woke up to this bit of amazing news!!! To the Manila International Filmfest, many thanks for nominating me to be part of the class of 2025-26!” Salonga wrote on Instagram.

She will soon join the likes of comedian Rob Schneider, Bruno Mars and Apl.de.Ap, other Filipinos who have received stars.

Class of 2026 honorees include Josh Groban, Shaquille O’Neal, Miley Cyrus, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore, Gordon Ramsay, Molly Ringwald, Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Deepika Padukone, Franco Nero and Air Supply.

“These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honor them with this well-deserved recognition,” Peter Roth, former chief executive officer of Warner Bros. TV and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said.

Dates have not yet been set for the star ceremonies.

Salonga recently lent her voice as Celine in Netflix’s "K-pop Demon Hunters."
