Love, tradition, and local entrepreneurship took center stage at the Bagong Pilipinas Wedding Fair 2025, held from 27 to 29 June at the SMX Convention Center in SM Aura Premier.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the three-day fair featured more than 100 Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), highlighting the creativity of local businesses while promoting opportunities in the growing events and wedding sector.

The event attracted wedding planners, industry professionals, creatives, and soon-to-wed couples, offering a wide range of services including couture bridalwear, floral arrangements, photography, catering, and travel.

The opening day was highlighted by a runway fashion show showcasing Filipino bridal designers who incorporated traditional fabrics and sustainable elements into modern bridalwear. The following two days featured talks and interactive exhibits across various creative industries—graphic design, stationery, music, and event production—emphasizing how weddings can reflect both personal narratives and cultural identity.

The wedding fair was part of the government’s broader initiative to empower local businesses and boost the creative economy by connecting entrepreneurs with real market opportunities.
