MREIT, Inc., the real estate investment trust of Megaworld Corp., has partnered with coworking firm Common Ground to open a Digital Park at McKinley Hill in Taguig City, to attract startups and support business growth.

The company said on Monday that the Digital Park will occupy nearly 2,000 square meters in the Intellectual Property Center and offer coworking spaces, function rooms, meeting areas, and events spaces for teams of all sizes. Membership options include day passes, hot desks, and dedicated desks.

“Aside from providing an important platform to support startup companies, the Digital Park at McKinley Hill will also serve as a common space for people living or working in McKinley Hill who are looking to find the right place to grow their businesses,” MREIT President and CEO Jose Arnulfo Batac said.

For Chris Edwards, CEO of The Flexi Group, the parent firm of Common Ground, the tie-up with MREIT will help support its growth.

“This is a key growth market for us and we (will) leverage our partnership over the next few years to develop flexible workspaces in the Greater Manila Area and across the country,” he said.

Existing tenants and startups in McKinley Hill can use the Digital Park’s facilities at discounted rates. Pitch sessions and incubator programs will also be held to connect startups with potential partners and investors.
