Basketball star Dwight Ramos headlined the launch of G-SHOCK’s latest timepieces during an exclusive pop-up event held at The Piazza at Venice Grand Canal Mall, drawing crowds of fans, media, influencers, and members of the G-SHOCK community.
The event, themed around toughness and athleticism, featured interactive installations including a History Wall chronicling G-SHOCK’s legacy of durability and a showcase of new models, such as the GM-110D and the upcoming GMW-B5000D, worn by Ramos.
Also on display was the brand’s iconic GA-110-1A, along with the Limitless series, positioned alongside a Pro-Rock truck to emphasize its rugged, outdoor-ready appeal.
“The latest G-SHOCK timepieces highlight what the brand does best, delivering function first, without compromising on style,” the brand noted. That message resonates with Ramos, who said, “It always starts with function. But I also care about how something fits into my lifestyle.” He added, “That’s what makes G-SHOCK perfect—it’s dependable.”
Ramos shared his personal journey with the crowd, deepening his connection with the brand and fans alike. “Throughout my career I have had a lot of injuries and also before I got from where I am now I have a lot of hardship but I just stay positive and tough and just keep showing up every day and do what I have to do no matter what’s going on,” he said.
The athlete also joined attendees in a series of interactive games including the Vertical Jump Challenge, Shoot Out Challenge, and posed for photos at a basketball-themed photo booth. One lucky participant won the Ultimate Shooting Challenge, receiving an autographed G-SHOCK jersey from Ramos.
The event concluded with a meet-and-greet session and an open challenge for guests to test their toughness, underscoring the brand’s message that toughness is more than a feature—it’s a lifestyle.
