Angeles City, Pampanga — Around 600 students in Barangay Amsic, Angeles City will begin the new school year with better learning conditions as the Amsic Integrated School opens its newly completed facility.
The project, constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO), features a four-storey, 12-classroom building.
District Engineer Arnold Ocampo said the new facility responds to the growing need for educational infrastructure in the area.
He added that the building includes modern classrooms, comfort rooms on each floor, a ramp for persons with disabilities (PWDs), and hand-washing stations on both sides — creating a safe, inclusive, and health-conscious environment for learners.
"This facility gives students the space and environment they need to thrive, while enabling teachers to deliver lessons more effectively," Ocampo said.
The additional classrooms are expected to benefit approximately 600 elementary students from Barangay Amsic by easing classroom congestion and promoting a more conducive learning atmosphere.
The project is part of DPWH’s broader initiative to improve public school infrastructure in rapidly growing communities.
