CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Authorities thwarted Friday the sale of an illegal firearm in Barangay Paradise, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.
According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the suspect selling the illegal firearm is a 35-year-old man identified as “Den.”
The suspect was arrested for the illegal sale and possession of a firearm and ammunition during a buy-bust operation conducted by the 301st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, in coordination with the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station.
The suspect, a resident of San Rafael I, Area H, was caught during an illegal transaction involving a caliber .38 revolver with a defaced serial number.
The suspect failed to show any proof of legal ownership of the firearm and ammunition, in violation of Sections 28 and 32 of Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Seized from his possession were the firearm, three live rounds of ammunition, cash used in the transaction (including marked money), and a white Honda Click motorcycle with no plate.
All confiscated items were turned over to the SJDM Forensic Unit for proper examination and documentation. Criminal charges are now being prepared against the suspect.
