The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) distributed 1,000 “Charitimba” aid packages to the 1st District of Quezon City during a ceremony at the Barangay Veterans Multi-Purpose Covered Court.
PCSO Board Directors Jennifer Liongson Guevara and Imelda Papin led the event. Papin also performed for attendees.
Guevara underscored the agency’s dedication to public service.
“I hope it resonates with you that our agency does not back down from helping,” Guevara said. “I also hope you support our games. You have a chance to win, and you also help fund our charity programs.”
Beth Delarmente formally accepted the Charitimba on behalf of the 1st District, representing Quezon City Councilor Dorothy Delarmente. She was joined by Chief of Staff Raquel Mallilin and several city councilors.
“Charitimba,” a term combining “charity” and the Filipino word for bucket (timba), is a PCSO initiative that delivers essential aid, often in the form of food packs, directly to vulnerable communities.
The PCSO continues to encourage public participation in its games, stressing that ticket purchases help fund health and welfare programs across the country.
