Listed natural resource developer Nickel Asia Corp. joins the Fortune 2025 Southeast Asia 500 list together with 39 other companies.
NAC is involved in both resource extraction and power generation, the sector that dominated this year’s list, accounting for nearly a third of the list’s total revenue.
The Fortune 500 Southeast Asia list ranks the largest companies in the region based on their 2024 revenue. The collective revenues generated by the companies in this year’s list are $1.82 trillion, up from $1.79 trillion in 2024.
“We are honored to be recognized among Southeast Asia’s top performing companies,” said NAC president and CEO Martin Antonio Zamora.
“NAC’s inclusion in the Fortune 2025 Southeast Asia 500 reflects our strategic focus on natural resource development, the hard work and dedication of our people, and the critical role that we play in the supply chain for clean energy,” Zamora added.
Top honor
NAC making the list marks its growing prominence in the region’s critical minerals sector, driven by the global demand for nickel in clean energy technologies.
To date, NAC is the Philippines’ largest producer of lateritic nickel ore with seven operating nickel mines. It also has a 10-percent stake in the Taganito HPAL project and a rapidly growing stake in clean energy through its subsidiary, Emerging Power Inc.
