Globe joined international industry leaders at the World Broadband Association (WBBA) Broadband Development Conference 2025 in Shanghai to explore the convergence of broadband infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI).
The panel discussion, held on 19 June at the Kerry Hotel, featured the session “When AI Meets Broadband: Opportunities & Challenges.”
Representing Globe was chief commercial officer and WBBA board member Darius Delgado, who shared how the company is leveraging AI not just to modernize operations, but to redefine the broadband customer experience in tangible, measurable ways.
“Essentially, we start with our proposition in the market. We differentiate beyond price and speed, because that’s plain vanilla to the customer, especially in the Philippines, in terms of broadband.”
Globe’s AI-led approach spans the entire broadband value chain, from infrastructure planning to in-home experience.
AI helps Globe quickly identify areas where there’s room to grow, whether in new regions or existing service areas, allowing the company to expand more efficiently.
In operations, AI has improved fault detection accuracy by 90 percent and reduced mean time to restore by 70 percent, resulting in faster, more reliable service restoration.
