Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon reported a significant 8 percent decrease in Metro Manila’s crime index, a key takeaway from the Regional Peace and Order Council’s (RPOC) 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting last 20 June at Camp Bagong Diwa.

Biazon, who attended alongside other Metro Manila mayors, attributed the decline to “the effectiveness of the intensified anti-criminality strategies and the five-minute response time directive of our police force,” as stated in an online post.

The mayor also lauded the Muntinlupa Police, recognizing them as the Top Performing Police Station within the Southern Police District. He noted a reduction in incidents of homicide, carnapping, rape, theft and robbery in Muntinlupa from 15 January to 15 June.

Biazon underscored the importance of national support in maintaining public safety, specifically acknowledging the backing of National Peace and Order Council Chairperson and Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

“In general, peace and order in the region remain stable and manageable as our policemen are always on top of every situation. I salute you,” Biazon said.
