Klarisse de Guzman: From stage diva to PBB's beloved 'Mowm'

Klarisse de Guzman is used to commanding the stage with her powerful vocals — but during her recent stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, it wasn’t just her talent that stole the spotlight. It was her warmth, wisdom, and maternal presence that earned her the unexpected yet endearing title of “Nation’s Mowm.”

In a segment aired Monday on Unang Hirit, Klarisse was picked up from the PBB house by fellow housemate Shuvee Etrata, who chauffeured her to the GMA Network via motorcycle. Their chemistry and closeness were on full display as they reunited outside the iconic yellow house.

During the show’s Lutong Nanay segment, Klarisse whipped up a comforting bowl of ginsang munggo with lechon kawali, sharing laughs and stories along the way. Asked about her viral moniker, she chuckled, “Nakakatuwa, hindi ko in-expect na ‘yung ‘Mowm’ tatatak talaga sa kanila. Nasanay na lang sila sa loob.”

Shuvee didn’t hold back in praising Klarisse, highlighting her vital role in keeping the house in harmony. “Sobrang significant ni Mowm sa bahay. Kung wala siya, wala ‘yung balance. Dahil sa kanya may respeto,” she said. “S’yempre, we look up to you.”

Despite their strong showing, Klarisse and Shuvee became the latest duo to exit the competition after receiving the lowest combined vote percentage of 31.50%. Still, Klarisse leaves the house with her head held high and a new identity that has captured the hearts of fans across the country.

As the Celebrity Collab Edition inches closer to its grand finale, the remaining duos — AzVer (AZ Martinez and River Joseph), BreKa (Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca), CharEs (Charlie Fleming and Esnyr), DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera), and RaWi (Ralph De Leon and Will Ashley) — are all vying for the coveted Big Four slots.

With episodes airing weeknights at 9:35 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. on GMA Network, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition continues to serve up drama, laughter, and heartwarming moments — proof that in the world of reality TV, sometimes the biggest stars are the ones who mother us through it all.
