In the high-pressure world of entertainment, some stars shine brightest not just on screen, but in moments of quiet strength. Veteran actress Ynez Veneracion recently opened up to the entertainment press about her new role, a painful on-set accident, and the unwavering faith that keeps her grounded.

An unforgettable scene

Currently starring in GMA Network’s gritty teleserye Mga Batang Riles, Ynez recounted an intense taping session that left her injured.

Despite the pain, she continued filming until the director realized something was wrong. “Ang ending ng scene, lahat tatakbo. Pero ako, nakaupo na lang — hindi na ako makatayo sa sakit,” she said with a laugh.

Ynez didn’t complain, crediting the on-set medic and network support.

One of her most memorable scenes was shot by acclaimed director Laurice Guillen. The experience left her admittedly nervous.

Walang take two. Kailangan galingan mo agad.”

Fortunately, her performance earned Guillen’s approval — an experience she says she'll never forget.

Off camera, Ynez finds strength in faith. A regular visitor to the Pink Sisters Convent, she says the quiet space has brought her clarity and blessings.

Though she identifies as Christian, the convent brings her a special kind of peace.

Always moving forward

After Mga Batang Riles, Ynez is set to star in an upcoming film project. While details remain under wraps, she’s ready for the challenge. “Trabaho lang nang trabaho. Basta ibigay mo ang 100% mo palagi.”

Outside of work, her heart belongs to her children. “Sila ang buhay ko. Wala nang mas mahalaga pa.”

Injury, pressure, and long hours may be part of the job, but Ynez Veneracion faces them all with grace and grit. Whether in front of the camera or seeking peace in prayer, she remains an enduring force in Philippine showbiz — unshaken, undeterred, and quietly powerful.
