Cignal welcomes new HD Spikers

Cignal beefed up its roster by officially signing its two new draftees, picking an undrafted libero, and a long-term extension for its top young gun.

Former National University star Erin Pangilinan and De La Salle University product Jessa Ordiales, drafted sixth and 18th during the 2025 Premier Volleyball League Draft, respectively will get to strut their stuff for the coming PVL on Tour unwrapping on Sunday in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Defense specialist Pearl Denura also inked a deal with the HD Spikers after going undrafted.

Recently crowned Rookie of the Conference Ishie Lalongisip, also signed a long-term extension with the Shaq Delos Santos-mentored club.

Selected seventh overall in the 2024 PVL Draft, Lalongisip proved her worth in the last All-Filipino Conference, stepping up as a starter during Cignal's rise to the third seed in the preliminaries.

"Happy and excited for our team although we won’t have Vanie (Gandler) and Dawn (Catindig) because of their Alas Pilipinas duties,” Delos Santos said.

“It’s a good time to try out our young players and new draftees here in the PVL On Tour, and we're confident to say that we want them to be here long-term and hopefully be a part of our long-coveted championship. Hopefully, we’ll get that eventually.”

Cignal also welcomed a new outfitter for their women’s team, as JYL Atletica is now the HD Spikers’ official supplier for all their jerseys, shorts, jackets, and apparel needs.

Cignal is bracketed in Group B along with Creamline, Akari, Chery Tiggo, Capital1, and Galeries Tower.

The HD Spikers open their campaign against Akari on 22 June 22 at 4 p.m.
