Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan said that efforts to reach out to Filipinos in Israel are ongoing as of Tuesday.

In an interview, OWWA said it is working closely with the Philippine ambassador and the Department of Foreign Affairs to strengthen assistance efforts. "Patuloy kami sa pagtanggap ng request for repatriation," she added.

OWWA said four Filipinos have been discharged from the hospital, while another Filipino is still recovering.

They are also studying all available travel options to reach and assist Filipinos affected by the crisis.

She said they are also working to reach Filipinos in Iran.

“We urge our 'kababayans' to stay connected through the DMW, OWWA, and embassy Facebook pages. And for families here in the Philippines, they may call our 1348 hotline or reach us via Viber, WhatsApp, and Messenger,” she said.

She also reminded returning OFWs to Israel and Iran to monitor the situation, especially before their flights.
