Marcos launches IRR for expanded ETEEAP

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the launch of the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Act on 17 June 2025, at Malacañang. Established under Republic Act No. 12124, the law allows qualified Filipinos to earn college degrees through work experience and non-formal education. The new IRR replaces Executive Order No. 330 and institutionalizes ETEEAP as a permanent, government-funded program. Joining Marcos were CHED Chairperson Shirley Agrupis and Commissioners Ethel Agnes Valenzuela and Marita Canapi.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., in his speech during the launch of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Act’s Implementing Rules and Regulations, praised the program as a long-awaited step toward recognizing real-life experience as valid learning. He stressed that education goes beyond the classroom and called on higher education institutions to implement the law effectively. Marcos encouraged Filipinos to keep pursuing their dreams, highlighting lifelong learning and resilience as keys to success.
