Mexican mayor shot dead in her office: Oaxaca state police

A mayor in southern Mexico was shot and killed in her office on Sunday, authorities said, in the country's latest deadly violence targeting a local politician.

Four men stormed into Mayor Lilia Garcia's office in the town of San Mateo Pinas, in the state of Oaxaca, and shot her and another official dead, state police said.
