QC hosts LGBTIQ+ business summit

QC and the QC Youth Development Alliance received several awards from the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Youth & Partners Summit 2024 for outstanding programs for the youth and sustainability initiatives.

The Quezon City government will host its first LGBTIQ+ Business Summit on Wednesday, 18 June, at the Quezon City Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions Center.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the event is part of the city’s commitment to creating a safe, supportive and empowering environment for LGBTIQ+ entrepreneurs.

Coinciding with Pride Month, the summit aims to highlight inclusive policies, share success stories and promote collaboration across sectors to support queer-led businesses.

The summit is being organized in partnership with the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Humanis Foundation, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, Mindanao Pride, Intersex Philippines and SPARK! Philippines.

Belmonte will be joined by Quezon City officials and Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Ronn Astillas.
