The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said there were no reports of Filipino casualties in the Air India crash in Ahmedabad.
OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan said in a message on Thursday evening that they are still continuously monitoring the situation.
“As of now, no reported Filipino nationals affected po. We are continuously monitoring po,” Caunan said.
Air India Flight AI171, bound for London, crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
According to reports, the death toll had reached 241 passengers and crew as of Friday.
There were a total of 230 passengers on board, consisting of 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese citizens, one Canadian, and 12 crew members.
The lone survivor of the crash was identified as Vishwashkumar Ramesh, who was seated next to an emergency exit.
