Obiena exits early in Norway

Ernest John Obiena suffered an early exit in the Oslo leg of the Diamond League early Friday in Norway (Manila time).

Obiena wasn't able to get over the bar at 5.62 meters as he was given a "No Mark" for the first time this year in the Diamond League.

World champion Armand Duplantis of Sweden set a new meet record of 6.15m while Paris Olynpics bronze medalist Emmanouil Karalis of Greece came in secod with 5.82m.

Kurtis Marschall of Australia got third place after clearing 5.72m.

Obiena looks to bounce back in Sweden for the Bauhaus-Galan on Sunday.
