LUBAO, Pampanga — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a facility at the Prado Siongco Elementary School here, providing better conditions for the growing student population of the town.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the DPWH cited that the P9.94-million one-story structure houses four classrooms equipped with blackboards, ceiling fans and lighting fixtures, providing a more comfortable and functional space for both teaching and learning.

Pampanga 2nd District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. said the additional classrooms will enable more children, especially those from underserved and remote communities, to gain access to formal primary education.

“Expanding educational infrastructure through added facilities with modernized features supports quality learning environments. This new facility will help equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to become productive members of society,” Audea emphasized.

The project, made possible through the 2024 national budget, reflects DPWH’s focus on enhancing public school facilities to meet growing local needs.
