A 29-year-old woman with disability from Barangay Binacag received a skateboard to help with her daily activities, after her story was featured on an online channel.
Lucky Joy Miguel, who was born without feet, had expressed her need for a skateboard to assist her with household tasks such as cooking, watering plants, and helping her family.
Officers of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 (RMFB-1), led by PLT James Paul G. Abellera and supervised by PCPT Jomar C. Motiong, Acting Company Commander of the 101st Maneuver Company, visited Miguel and provided her with the skateboard.
The officers acknowledged the role of the online feature and the support of stakeholders in making the initiative possible.
“This is a reminder that with the right platform and people who care, even the simplest wishes can come true,” said PLT Abellera.
