Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon over the weekend clarified that the issue raised by the mother of a recent stabbing victim in Alabang had been addressed to the satisfaction of all concerned parties.

“She came to my office to share her sentiments about what happened,” said the mayor in a statement issued on his official Facebook account.

“Her complaint was that our MTMB (Municipal Traffic and Management Bureau) failed to assist her son,” he explained in Filipino.

According to the mayor, a calm and constructive dialogue took place between the victim’s mother and MTMB enforcers, where both sides clarified what transpired during the incident.

“Based on the explanation, the assistance given was calling the police, who then responded and were able to subdue the attacker,” the mayor said in Filipino.

The local chief executive also emphasized that the city government extended help to cover the victim’s medical expenses.

“We also provided aid for the victim’s medical needs, particularly because he hasn’t been able to resume work while recovering,” the mayor said.

City officials have not released further details about the stabbing incident or the current condition of the victim, citing privacy concerns.

The mayor assured the public that steps are being taken to review response protocols and ensure that first responders are equipped to act swiftly in emergencies.
