Ayala Land begins Glorietta facelift, traffic adjustments announced

Carl Magadia

Motorists passing through Makati’s central business district are advised to take alternate routes starting 10 June 2025 as a portion of Courtyard Drive will be closed to make way for the redevelopment of Glorietta mall.

According to mall management, the section of Courtyard Drive that serves as the main drop-off point for Glorietta 4 will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. Rerouting measures have been put in place to maintain access to Glorietta 4’s parking facilities and manage traffic flow in the surrounding areas.

The traffic adjustment comes as part of Ayala Land Inc.’s (ALI) larger redevelopment plan for its flagship mall in Makati, which aims to modernize the decades-old retail destination.

The upgraded Glorietta is expected to feature a more contemporary layout, improved navigation within the mall, open community spaces, and a fresh mix of retail, dining, and lifestyle offerings.

Despite the changes, Glorietta management assured the public that efforts will be made to minimize inconvenience and prioritize safety for mallgoers and motorists during the construction period.
