Good news!

Let us "rejoicify" as Universal Pictures unveils the trailer for Wicked: For Good, the epic conclusion to the untold story of the witches of Oz — Elphaba and Glinda — played by Academy Award-nominated actors Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, respectively.

Directed once again by award-winning filmmaker Jon M. Chu and featuring the spectacular returning cast, Wicked: For Good begins with Elphaba and Glinda estranged, living with the consequences of their past choices.

Elphaba, now the infamous Wicked Witch of the West, has been declared an enemy of the Wizard and Madam Morrible. Glinda, meanwhile, lives with the public persona of Glinda the Good.

The film is produced by returning Tony and Emmy-winning powerhouse Marc Platt, p.g.a., and multiple Tony Award winner David Stone. Executive producers include Stephen Schwartz, David Nicksay, Jared LeBoff, Winnie Holzman, and Dana Fox.

The first film, Wicked, released in November 2024, earned 10 Academy Award nominations — including Best Picture — and won Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design. It has grossed $750 million worldwide to date.

Wicked: For Good is based on the generation-defining musical with music and lyrics by legendary Grammy and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman, adapted from the bestselling novel by Gregory Maguire. The screenplay is by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The score is composed by John Powell and Stephen Schwartz, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

Wicked: For Good hits cinemas on 19 November.
