Perpetual spikers going for kill

The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta will look to wrap up the series against Letran College when Game 2 of the Season 100 National Collegiate Athletic Association boys volleyball finals unwraps Tuesday.

Game time will be at 8 a.m. at the Playtime Filoil Centre with the Junior Altas closing in on their 13th league title.

Last Sunday, Perpetual showed championship pedigree against the Squires and delivered a 25-21, 29-27, 28-26 victory in Game 1.

John Lat erupted for a career-high 15 points as the Junior Altas while Zyro Ornos contributed 13 points and Nathan Ciriaco had 12 points.

A win today will give Perpetual seniors Ciriaco, Ornos, Resty Santos, Charles Concina, Kirby Alecida, Miguel dela Cruz and Michael Medina a proper send-off as they end their boys volleyball stint on a high note.

However, Letran won’t back down easily after King Nimo led with a team-high 18 pts in Game 1, giving them a sliver of hope in extending this best-of-three championship series.
