A high-value individual involved in the illegal drug trade was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) on the evening of 30 May 2025, in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.

According to the report, at around 8:50 PM, elements of the DDEU-SPD, led by PMaj. Cecilio G. Tomas Jr., and in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and Sub-Station 1 of the Taguig City Police Station, launched the operation along Lawton Avenue, opposite the Barangay Fort Bonifacio Sports Complex.

The operation led to the arrest of the suspect, identified only as alias “Fin,” a 37-year-old male resident of Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, and a motorcycle-hailing platform rider.

Authorities placed Fin under surveillance after receiving intelligence reports linking him to illegal drug activities in the area. He was caught red-handed selling suspected shabu and was immediately apprehended.

Recovered from the suspect were approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P340,000. Also seized were a black Suzuki Smash motorcycle, a black analog Samsung cellphone, and the marked buy-bust money.

The suspect was brought to the SPD-DDEU office for documentation. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for inquest proceedings before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
