Team Falcons delivered perhaps its best performance of the season yet following a decisive victory over fan-favorite Aurora in the lower bracket semifinal of MPL Season 15 Playoffs this Friday evening at Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
Composed of the world champion roster of Pheww, Super Marco, KyleTzy, Owgwen, and Flap, Team Falcons bounced back strong from their reverse sweep loss to Team Liquid PH by delivering a clean 3-0 sweep over Aurora to advance to the lower bracket final.
"We promised each other [Team Liquid PH] that we will go to MSC again, but only one [of us] can make it there," said Team Falcons captain Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel.
"We will do better in closing the series if we get ahead because we already know how it feels to be reverse swept. It hurts a lot."
The highly impressive win sets up another classic matchup between Team Falcons and Team Liquid PH tomorrow at 7:00 PM. The winner will advance to the final against ONIC PH and will qualify for the 2025 Mid Season Cup, where a $3,000,000 prize pool awaits.
