Defending MPL PH champion ONIC PH booked its MPL Season 15 finals appearance following a clean sweep over regular season top seed Team Liquid PH this Friday at Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
Kelra, K1ngkong, Super Frince, Kirk, and Brusko showcased their vintage form as they battered the world champion tandem of KarlTzy and Oheb en route to a dazzling 3-0 victory.
The win not only means that ONIC PH will get to defend its title, the surefire top 2 placement in the season also qualifies them to the Mid Season Cup, where a whopping $3,000,000 prize pool awaits.
"The grand final is different now," ONIC PH jungler Cyric "K1ngkong" Perez noted after the match.
"This is the season where many were able to read our playstyle and pattern, but we still somehow made it to the final. I am very thankful to the team."
ONIC PH will not be back on the stage until Sunday, June 1, where they face the winner between Team Falcons, Aurora, and Team Liquid PH in the lower bracket.
