NCR tops medal tally as Palarong Pambansa 2025 heats up

The National Capital Region (NCR) has extended its lead at the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2025, holding a commanding advantage with 16 gold medals, 10 silvers, and 3 bronzes, based on partial and unofficial results as of 9:20AM, 27 May.

Close behind is Region IV-A CALABARZON, with a balanced haul of 12 golds, 12 silvers, and 6 bronzes. Western Visayas (Region VI) occupies third place with 7 golds, maintaining steady podium finishes.

Northern Mindanao (Region X) ranks fourth with 4 golds, 8 silvers, and 10 bronzes, while the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has climbed to fifth place, earning 4 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze.

Host Region I (Ilocos Region) has secured 1 gold, 4 silvers, and 4 bronzes, holding a solid mid-table spot as the week-long events continue.

At the lower end, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) have yet to win gold, though BARMM has claimed 2 bronze medals.

More than 15,000 student-athletes are competing in 29 sports in Ilocos Norte, marking the province’s historic first time hosting the prestigious national games.
