YOUTHFUL LAUGHTER RIPPLES IN THE DRY SEASON

Ayta Mag-Antsi children frolic and enjoy the cool water of Malele River in the barangay of Pio in Porac, Pampanga, during an intensely hot day, peals of their laughter fusing with the gurgles of the water.

A large portion of the town in central Luzon is the ancestral home of the Ayta Mag-Indi and the Ayta Mag-Antsi peoples, many of whom still live a semi-nomadic life of hunting and foraging. However, many have also settled in communities, engaged in farming and other kinds of work.
