Pre joins Fighting Maroons

Highly-touted forward Veejay Pre joined the University of the Philippines as he replaces veterans Francis Lopez and Aldous Torculas.

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Rookie of the Year made his choice after announcing his departure from Far Eastern University last Wednesday.

Fighting Maroons head coach Goldwin Monteverde is thrilled to have Pre on board as they fortify their squad for the future.

“We all know what Veejay is capable of. He will be a big help for us with his all-around game,” Monteverde said.

The 19-year-old Pre averaged 3.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in his rookie season with the Tamaraws.

Pre will be eligible to play for the Fighting Maroons in Season 89.
