Tide turning

The challenge is for the collective, and by the collective, and to give the power back to the people. This is Aquarius, and we are at the entrance to this age.

I join the chorus all over social media that now carries hope following the mid-term elections. It is because candidates who carry the capacity, skill, integrity and real desire for service have come out on the national platform.

Their collective role (in each of their spaces) is to challenge the status quo for a return of honesty, transparency, good governance and all that is moral and right as leaders. This is not just about politics. It’s about values. And priorities. And not to selling our country out for selfish profit and power. Truly, the tides have turned.

I am not a political analyst, but I read trends by interpreting the movement of stars and planets. Per my last week column highlighting the influence of Pluto (planet of deep transformation) and the Full Moon in Scorpio (deep radical shifts that produce new directions) the mid-term elections results brought reformist energy to the forefront. Let me explain Pluto in Aquarius with more clarity for those who wish to understand the connection between two different worlds.

The planetarial movements tell a story. Pluto’s energy is about destruction and regeneration. It comes from the depths of the dark collective national space to resurface. Its exterior manifestation highlights the new direction of sustainable future growth we want for our society.

The planetarial movements tell a story. Pluto’s energy is about destruction and regeneration.

While we will continue to see the old political figures, narratives and power struggles attempting comebacks – know that more and more of all the blatant corruption will be scrutinized.

The tide is turning…There is a deep collective awakening wanting radical shifts, demanding systematic changes. Just the mere fact that showbiz bets didn’t make it is itself the dismantling of illusions of the majority that believe in “that’s entertainment.” Even some dynastic bets had unexpected political upsets. All these despite deep fakes and cyber warfare affecting public perception.

The next two years will be a continued dismantling of the old system. What was up will come down, what is down will go up. But it will be the upward struggle against a wild tsunami of black propaganda, intimidation, bribes, deception and disinformation run by the rules of the old machinery of greed.

Let’s not focus on more populist programs where everyone knows national budgets are corrupted from the top to execution. Let’s focus on the deep structural reforms all across key sectors all of which have been in steady decline for decades. It’s about the death of our values systems, which ultimately is a spiritual death.

So in our own individual companies, enterprises, NGOs, government agencies, groups and associations where we have the power to influence for positive change – let our stand be a return to conscious values and choices for honest and principled decisions, sound sustainable practices that support eco-systems of growth and collaborations toward higher goals and directions.

Aquarius is not about short-term thinking. It is about vision grounding for the common good.

The challenge is for the collective, and by the collective, and to give the power back to the people. This is Aquarius, and we are at the entrance to this age.

As new principled leaders emerge to take a stand in the political space, they will back the farmers, teachers, students (youth) and women. The fight is for our food security, education that impacts human capital, localizing industrialization through technology (green please) that support an inclusive business ecosystem that bring in our MSMEs to quality and global markets.

These eco-systems may even bring home our OFWs as new jobs are created. Plus healthcare that can truly be more affordable. But there is so much, much more on which is I am no expert to comment: Governance and political reforms, economic and fiscal reforms, economic inequality, infrastructure and so on.

As the wave continues to turn course and take strength, the next two years (Saturn and Neptune in Aries) will bring this wave into the policy space. Where the voice of the reformists will be heard and also bring in new younger able leaders on the ground. For sure, the youth will be inspired and more will awaken. HOPE is what this mid-term election gave all who stand for what is moral, right and true.

The turning of the tides will move to structure the people’s idealism to reform or create relevant laws and policies. Pioneering ideas and projects will emerge with a clarity of purpose. The undertow of this new wave of activism is spiritual, now seen as strategic patience, compassionate action and visionary pragmatism.

I maintain that we are in the period of the war between the Light and the Dark. Of the higher against the lower. The tide is turning. Let’s each do our part.
