American singer and songwriter Chris Brown was taken into custody early Thursday in Manchester, England, following allegations that he attacked a music producer with a bottle at a London nightclub last year.
Authorities said a 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester around 2 a.m. on suspicion of bodily harm. He was taken into custody by London’s Metropolitan Police.
According to The Sun, producer Abraham "Abe" Diaw accused Brown of striking him on the head with a bottle and kicking him at Tape nightclub in London.
"He has been taken into custody where he remains," Reuters reported. The charge relates to an alleged assault that took place at the nightclub on Feb. 19, 2023.
Brown is currently preparing for the European leg of his Breezy Bowl XX Tour, which is set to begin on June 8 in Amsterdam.
