Comelec TF Baklas issues poll advisory

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Task Force Baklas has reminded all candidates, partylist groups, campaign teams and concerned individuals that the official campaign period for the 12 May 2025 National and Local Elections will end at 11:59 p.m. on 10 May.

Any form of election campaigning or partisan political activity — whether for or against any candidate — beyond the said date and time is strictly prohibited, it said.

In line with this, all campaign materials — including posters streamers, billboards, tarpaulins and similar propaganda in all locations (public and private) — must be removed no later than 12 midnight of 11 May.

Candidates, partylist groups and their respective campaign teams are directed to conduct a full and immediate and complete cleanup of all campaign materials to ensure with election laws, including, the Fair Elections Act and applicable Comelec Resolutions.

Non-compliance shall be treated as a violation of election rules and may constitute a ground for administrative disqualification and/or prosecution for election offenses punishable under the law.
