Quezon City First District Representative Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde has received the endorsement of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) for a second term in the 2025 elections, his office announced.
Atayde expressed gratitude to the INC and its executive minister, Eduardo V. Manalo.
“I am deeply grateful for the trust given to me once again by the brethren of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, especially to Ka Eduardo V. Manalo,” Atayde said in a statement. “Your support is our inspiration to continue honest and prompt service for the nation. Together, we will act, immediate action!”
Atayde, who won his first term in 2022, is highlighting his legislative record and district-level programs focusing on employment, health care, education, and food security.
He pledged to “sustain his ongoing projects, fulfill his legislative duties, and continue delivering honest public service” in the district.
Among his cited legislative accomplishments are his involvement in key national laws, including the Eddie Garcia Law, the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers, the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, the Internet Transactions Act, the Regional Specialty Centers Act, the SIM Registration Act, the Ease of Paying Taxes Act, and the New Government Procurement Act.
In his first term, Atayde also initiated local programs that provided assistance to residents, including emergency employment for over 11,000 workers, overseas job opportunities for 1,500 applicants, livelihood training for 1,100 residents, and capital support for 245 small businesses.
His office also launched welfare programs offering free dialysis, medical assistance, educational aid, rice distribution, a mobile kitchen service, and seasonal gift-giving. Additionally, his office provided aid to families affected by fire, burial assistance, and financial help for various needs.
