Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines Endo Kazuya visited the Ateneo de Manila University on 9 May 2025, delivering a lecture on the growing Japan-Philippines partnership as part of the university’s "EmbLEM: Embassy Lectures, Encounters, and Masterclasses" series.

The event, hosted by Ateneo Global, drew students, faculty, and members of the academic community for a deeper understanding of international diplomacy and bilateral relations. The lecture focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in key areas such as the economy, security, culture, and people-to-people exchange.

Ambassador Endo emphasized the critical role of the youth in building and sustaining international ties and encouraged them to actively engage in efforts and initiatives that continue to promote friendship, international cooperation, and understanding.

University officials in attendance included Dr. Philip Arnold Tuaño, Dean of the School of Government; Dr. Czarina Saloma-Akpedonu, Dean of the School of Social Sciences; and Dr. Kristine Michelle Santos, Acting Director of the Japanese Studies Program.

The event concluded with a dynamic open forum, where students engaged the ambassador in a discussion on diplomacy and regional cooperation.
