IBA, Zambales — The Provincial Government is set to celebrate Zambales’ renowned mango species during the 2025 Dinamulag Festival at this capitol town on 21 May.

The four-day event aims to boost tourism and promote local industries while showcasing the province’s world-renowned “dinamulag” mango, along with Zambales’ local products, and vibrant cultural heritage.

The festival, which is set from 21 to 24 May will feature expanded agro-cultural presentations, product exhibits and sporting events.

These activities support the province’s broader efforts to support the local mango industry, with emphasis on increasing production and creating stronger market opportunities for local farmers.

Among the key programs being highlighted is the P50-million Green Mango Valley Project, launched in 2024, which seeks to expand cultivation areas, improve yield per hectare, and reinforce the mango value chain to ensure the long-term sustainability.

An off-site launch was held on 26 April at SM City Olongapo Central, showcasing mango-based products, street-dancing and auditions for the Zamba-Tuklas Talento competition.

Zambales Tourism officer Tel Mora said the off-site activity was organized to broaden the festival’s reach and build anticipation among wider audiences.

“The talent auditions will continue at the San Felipe Public Mall on 16 May for Cluster 2, and at Balin Sambali Hotel in Iba on 17 May for Cluster 3 entries,” Mora added.

Festival highlights include the Dinamulag Fun Run, the 2025 Mango Congress, Kadiwa ng Pangulo exhibits, and the Flavors of Zambales cooking competition.

Sports enthusiasts can also look forward to the Gov. Jun Ebdane 4x4 Off-Road Challenge and motocross races, scheduled alongside the main events.

Meanwhile, farmers and entrepreneurs will showcase sustainable agri-tourism initiatives during open house activities and farm demonstrations at Batungbacal Farms in Palauig.

The celebration will conclude on 24 May with the Zamba-Liwanag Float Parade, featuring creatively designed floats celebrating Zambales’ agricultural traditions and community spirit.

The provincial government invites the public to join the 2025 Dinamulag Festival and experience the richness of Zambales’ culture, tourism and products.
