It was Kapamilya spirit in action as River Joseph volunteered to take Xyriel Manabat’s place on the eviction list in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.
Entering the confession room, Joseph pleaded Big Brother to save his housemate Xyriel Manabat from potential eviction.
“Alam ko medyo long shot ‘to. Hindi ko alam kung possible… Possible ba na i-trade ko ang spot ko kay Xyriel sa nomination? Kapamilya for Kapamilya. Masakit lang makita na she is on the line for eviction (I know this is quite a long shot. I am not sure if it is even possible. Is it possible for me to trade places with Xyriel in the nominations? Kapamilya for Kapamilya. It pains me to see her on the line for eviction),” River told Kuya.
River expressed his trust for the young actress. “Alam kong sobrang lakas ni Xyriel, kaya niya ito (I know Xyriel has a strong chance, and she can do this). Pero I’d rather sacrifice myself. She’s like a little sister I never had.” But Big Brother did not agree.
The nominated duos for this week are JoRa (Josh Ford and Ralph de Leon), ShuCa (Shuvee Etrata and Bianca de Vera) and XyDust (Xyriel Manabat and Dustin Yu).
Esnyr Ranollo and Mika Salamanca were spared nomination after winning the third “duo battle,” while ShuCa was eliminated owing to Etrata’s rule breach, which earned them automatic nomination.
Following the announcement, Big Brother reminded all housemates of the responsibilities that come with being in a duo and the importance of following house rules.
Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco, the newest celebrity guest, added excitement to an already busy week. Licauco, introduced by hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Gabbi Garcia, admitted to being nervous but eager about reuniting with his best friend, Dustin Yu.
