Pasig mayoral aspirant Sarah Discaya has pledged to prioritize job creation for all Pasigueños if she wins in the upcoming midterm elections.

“In every Pasigueño family, there is a dream that the heart repeatedly cries out for — to have a stable job, decent and have a future,” Discaya said.

Discaya stressed that if elected, her administration would focus on a massive effort to generate employment opportunities for all residents, spanning from young people to senior citizens, and encompassing both skilled workers and those entering the workforce for the first time.

She also stressed that this commitment extends beyond a mere campaign promise.

To achieve this goal, Discaya outlined several concrete steps. These include expanding business centers and investment zones within Pasig to incentivize more businesses to establish operations and generate jobs within the city.

She also proposed the implementation of the Pasig Job Link Program, an integrated system designed to match the skills of Pasigueños with appropriate employment opportunities.

Additionally, her plan involves the provision of skills training and upskilling programs for residents, as well as the organization of job fairs in every barangay.

Discaya also stressed a focus on creating job opportunities for specific sectors, such as persons with disabilities, solo parents and senior citizens who remain capable and willing to work.

The Pasig mayoralty aspirant asserted that a true leader not only provides aid but also opens avenues for dignity and hope through employment.

“I cannot allow young people to leave the city just because they cannot find opportunities. I will not allow a family to suffer while the government has the funds and ability to help,” Discaya said.

“Job is the key to dignity. Job is the key to success. And employment will be Ate Sarah’s vow to all Pasigueños,” she added.
